WINTER IN NANAIMO 2012

DEEP IN JANUARY 2012

Well, our first snowfall here in Nanaimo.  It always comes as a surprise for us, being so milkd we forget that this is Winter.  The snow wil be gone in a few days, but nice to out my windows and see the snow falling on cedars.  Watching the children enjoying the snow in the park.

I am waiting for my cancer nurse to come and change the dressing on my arm.  I managed to have  a show, my dislocated shoulder is healing well.  I am too scared to have a bath and fall again.  I have a side effect of the Chemo, my tongue is swollen and very red and sore, which makes eating painful, well i could loose a few pounds.

I am in Chemo every two weeks, i fo to the hospital for 3 hours t get an IV in my arm.  So far i have few side effects though my hiar is thinning, but i will not go bald.  I di get a wig just in case.
I have a new computer with all the bells and whistles...just setting it up.
 soon.  ..
My project is to get my haiku ready for my second book.

I still have plans to go to Paris, in June i think after my round of Chemo is over and my hernia operation.

SOME WINTER HAIKU

in the park
snow falling off cedars
a child's red scarf

in my dreans
a Spring day
yellow tulips
his two lips

snow falling on cedars
on the island the birds under cover
a cup of tea

snuggling under the covers
my lover kisses my warm face
he gets me my tea

i trudge thrugh the fine snow
my tall soft boots kick up snow
as i walk along

the silent snow
brings back memories
of the scent of Plumeria
